Are you using a geographic telephone number to boost your business?

Picture the scenario, you have just bought the house of your dreams and intend running your business from your country pad, miles away from any city or large town.

You order your phone lines and then realise you might look like a backwater outfit as no one will recognise your dialling code.

So what can you do?  Quite simply order a "geographic number" from your telecoms provider.  For a small fee per month, you can organise a number which shows a presence in any part of the country; London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds etc.  Your caller will assume that you are local to them and calls for them will be classed at local rate.

If you have a hosted or VoIP system then even better, as you don't pay for any part of the incoming call as you would do if you had a traditional PBX system.  In that instance the caller would pay for the call to a call routing platform and then you would have to pay for the call from the platform to your home or business.
So if you want to look like a national business then get yourself some geographic numbers from the outset.   Afterall, it’s all about location, location, location!
