Not sure if you have heard of Gmail labs, but just to explain, these are experimental , pre-release features that you can test now and which could save you time and be really fun to work with too. Cool.
Below is an extract from Google on how to set Gmail labs up:-
Enable Labs
Want to get started with Labs? You can do this in a few quick clicks.
- Open Gmail.
- Click the
gear in the top right and select Settings.
- Open the Labs tab.
- Identify the labs you want to turn on and click the Enable radio button.
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
Gadgets
After you enable a gadget lab, you can access it by clicking on the gadget icon in the bottom left corner of your Gmail page, underneath your chat list.
If you have multiple gadgets, you can rearrange them by dragging and dropping them.
Problems with Labs
If you encounter any problems while you have a Labs feature enabled, here are some things you can do:
- Temporarily disable Labs
Go to http://mail.google.com/mail/?labs=0 to temporarily disable Labs and get your account back to normal. - Disable Labs individually
If you'd like to help pinpoint the problem, you can disable each feature until the problem goes away.- Open Gmail.
- Click the
gear in the top right and select Settings.
- Open the Labs tab.
- Select the Disable radio button by the features you've enabled.
- Click Save Changes.
Well I'm off to have a play......
